Happy New Year! I hope you and yours have a blessed and prosperous 2016!
We are enjoying our last vacation days at our youngest daughter’s house a few hours from home. It also happens to be where our youngest grandson lives, too. 🙂 We have had a good visit thus far and got to exchange some belated Christmas gifts as well. Frodo was allowed to make the trip with us so it has been a busy few days.
DD and her husband have an annual tradition of hiking up Kennesaw Mountain. It is about 1 mile to the top (not ALL straight up) and that’s after you hike the half mile from the overflow parking lot for the privilege of wearing yourself out! We all went with them. It was extremely tiring but rewarding as well. Below are pictures of DH and me each with Frodo and DD and her husband at the top. It was a nice, balmy 48 deg F but the wind wasn’t bad and too much warmer and it would have been a hot climb from about 1/3 of the way up and to the top.
It has been a very energetic start for what hopefully will be our best year together yet.
More art is coming soon–I promise! 🙂 Thanks for sticking with me this year. I have learned a lot about myself, my artistic endeavors and keeping a blog generally. 2016 is going to be exciting!
