Kim Dellow over on her blog has a fun thing going called Art It Friday – Show Your Face. I discovered it while browsing some linked blog pages on Julie Fei-Fan Balzer’s regular Friday post Art Journal Everyday post which she usually posts regularly every Friday.
I want to get better at sketching portraits so this is a good challenge for me to take to improve that skill. Here is this week’s “face” for my post:
Won’t be long now before VACATION begins…Yes!!
Have a great weekend!
Oh my goodness, I really like her a lot. She really jumps off the page…the background is perfect, and she is very lovely.
Thanks, Wanda!
She has a sweet, innocence about her. I love that you did her on a book page.
Yes. Maybe not quite as intense as some of my most recent contributions. LOL! Thanks for the kind comments and for stopping by!
Cool love the background colors 😀
She is wonderful Jill! I love faces over print.
Me, too! 🙂
I love your colour choices and how you sketched her over text, which I also love! xx
Thanks, Julie!

Beautiful face with such tender eyes.
Hey Jill, I love her, I love how she pops off the page and her wonderful eyes. I’m really glad you found #ShareYourFace, that challenging ourselves to weekly practice thing is exactly why I started the group. Thanks for joining in #ShareYourFace and for the lovely shout out too. Kx
She is really lovely. I am really drawn to faces on book paper backgrounds – yours is especially cool cos of your colours and her sketchy look. Thanks for visiting my blog – Happy weekend
she has such a sweet face, and the background really is perfect.
